After creating a batch, payments (beneficiaries) can be added to the batch via a form on Autopay (one beneficiary at a time) or via an Excel sheet (multiple beneficiaries populated and uploaded at once).<\/p>\n

Individual Payment Insert via Autopay Form<\/h4>\n

To add payments individually via the form on Autopay:<\/p>\n

  • Beneficiary Code:<\/strong> this is what uniquely identifies a beneficiary.<\/li>\n
  • Narration:<\/strong> this is the description of the transaction; part of which will be sent in the transaction notification to the beneficiary.<\/li>\n
  • Amount:<\/strong> amount to be paid to the beneficiary.<\/li>\n
  • Currency: <\/strong>Autopay\u00a0processes only Naira transactions for now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
  • Click\u00a0Next<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Fill in other information\n
    \n
    • Beneficiary Name:<\/strong> Name of the person to be paid.<\/li>\n
    • Bank:<\/strong> bank of the person to be paid.<\/li>\n
    • Account Type:<\/strong> select savings or current from the drop down if uncertain.<\/li>\n
    • Is Cash Card:<\/strong> select\u00a0No<\/strong> if an account is to be funded and\u00a0Yes<\/strong> if a card is to be funded.<\/li>\n
    • To Account:<\/strong> account or card number to be funded<\/li>\n
    • Nuban Validation Required: <\/strong>Select\u00a0Yes<\/strong> if the beneficiary account number is a valid NUBAN account in a commercial bank or No<\/strong> if otherwise.<\/li>\n
    • Email Address:\u00a0<\/strong>email address of the beneficiary. This field is optional.<\/li>\n
    • Phone Number:<\/strong> phone number of the beneficiary. This field is optional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Click\u00a0Next<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Confirm the details filled in<\/li>\n
    • Click\u00a0Commit<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      You can Repeat above steps if additional beneficiaries are required.<\/p>\n

      Multiple Payments Upload via Excel Sheet<\/h4>\n

      To use this option, you are expected to populate an Excel (xlsx) or CSV document with your beneficiaries’ information according to one of the following formats.<\/p>\n

      Consolidated File Format:<\/strong> payment reference, beneficiary code, beneficiary name, account number, account type, CBN code, is cashcard, narration, Amount, email address, currency code<\/p>\n

      Payment File Format:<\/strong> payment reference, payment type, beneficiary code, payment date, narration, beneficiary name, CBN code, Account number, Account type, Amount, currency code<\/p>\n

      After populating the sheet:<\/p>\n

      • Click Upload Payments<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • Click\u00a0Choose File<\/strong> and browse to the location of the file on your system to select it<\/li>\n
      • Review the following options and select as appropriate for your file:\n
        \n
        • File has header: <\/strong>Check this option if the first line in your file contains the col names. Note that where this option is selected, the first row in your file is skipped for the upload.<\/li>\n
        • Parse Account Length<\/strong>: Where this option is selected, Autopay would automatically add leading zeroes (0’s) to account numbers that are less than 10 digits long.<\/li>\n
        • Is Consolidated file:<\/strong> Check this option if your file is in the consolidated file format.<\/li>\n
        • Is Nuban Accounts:<\/strong> Check this option if all payments in your file are to account numbers issued by Commercial Banks that meet CBN NUBAN requirements. You can uncheck this option if your file includes payments to MFBs or non-standard account numbers (e.g. Phone Number Accounts, Access-Diamond Accounts etc.)<\/li>\n
        • Allow Duplicate Accounts:<\/strong> Check this option if you have multiple payments to any specific account number in your upload file. Where this option is not selected, Autopay would flag any repeated account numbers as a duplicate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Click Upload Payments <\/strong>to submit your file and upload.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Close Batch<\/h4>\n

          After creating a batch and adding payment(s) to the batch, the final and most important step for corporate initiating officers with respect to third party transfers is to\u00a0close the batch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

          If a batch is not closed, it will not be available for the next stage (approval). To close a batch:<\/p>\n
